Another immersion program I staffed with InterVarsity in 2005 with Sandra Van Opstal, where we took a diverse team of Northwestern Students and messed them up for the rest of their lives, in a good way. We lived in North Lawndale, an underserved neighborhood on the west side of Chicago, where the power of God’s Kingdom is easily seen through the restorative work of Lawndale Community Church.
