In the summer of 2007, I directed InterVarsity’s Global Urban Trek to Mokattam, Cairo, a village of Garbage Collectors in Egypt. Clearly, it was one of the pivotal experiences in my life. You can read more of our journal here – Marian Wang, our trek journaler, does an excellent job of giving you word pictures of our experience. And she’s a great writer.
