While not training students and traveling across the globe, I did get to spend some time with some quality gatherings with my family.  We welcomed a new member to the family, Mike Hartung, who married my sister Kathryn on June 28.

The brothers had to prove Mike’s worth at our annual Bilhorn Brothers fishing trip.  The fishing trip typically consists of my angler brothers looking for great opportunities and me sitting on the boat and occasionally throwing my line in the water.  Mike certainly proved he belongs, and I’m glad to have a fourth brother in the family.  The trip also affords me the opportunity to spend some time with my nephews as well, as evidenced by this picture with Caleb.

Finally, the summer ended with my 30th birthday where I became slightly reflective as I was in Egypt.  I returned, and within just a week I was greeted with another nephew from my brother Josh and his wife Opala on September 6, David Judah Bilhorn.  He is healthy and looks like his dad – poor guy. 🙂
